I proved again this weekend, I never give up! After a rib injury got by an accident, I could get back on track. This injury on the other hand strongly held me back and caused severe pain due to the G-forces when taking the corners so i had to give up the race. The race weekend in south Italy started pretty good by the way. I raced at the Pista Salentina race track in the second round of the Italian Karting Championship. In the free parctices i was pretty fast, I finished between the 2nd and 5th places in almost every time. I was looking forward to the qualifying after these encouraging results but I couldnt run a clean lap in the huge field. The first race went really good. In 9 laps I gained 14 positions and finished in 9th place. So I became pretty motivated waiting for the second race. I had the 23th position again and after a good start I was driving around the 12th position when because of a different crash, another racer hit the back of my kart on the right and knocked me out of the track. As a result of the big hit my kart’s axle and chassis bent, my rim broke into pieces. I hit my ribs in the accident. After an examination on the spot the emergency took me to the hospital from where I was sent to a childrens’ hospital because of my age. I didn’t give up I returned to the location of the race and went to change quickly. When I got to the Parc Fermé the other competitors were doing the formation lap already. I could take my starting position but unfortunately as I mentioned earlier those G-forces made me give up the race. I will be able to continue in the next round of WSK at Lonato. I thank my mechanic, Raffaelle Polise and my team, the Parolin Racing Kart for the professional job during the whole weekend. They stood beside me all along.
A hétvégén is bizonyítottam, hogy sosem adom fel! Egy balesetből adódó bordasérülés után is visszatértem a pályára. A sérülésem viszont erősen hátráltatott és komoly fájdalmat okozott az oldalirányú G-er hatására, így kiállni kényszerültem a versenyből.
A versenyhétvége nagyon jól indult Dél-Olaszországban. A Pista Salentina versenypályán álltam rajthoz az Olasz Gokart Bajnokság második fordulójában. A szabadedzéseken végig nagyon gyors voltam, a 2. és az 5. hely között végeztem szinte minden alkalommal. Nagyon vártam az időmérő edzést a bíztató eredmények után, de nem tudtam tiszta kört menni az időmérőn a nagy mezőnyben.
Az első verseny nagyon jól sikerült, 9 kör alatt 14 helyet tudtam javítani, s végül a 9. helyen értem a célba. A második versenyt így nagyon motiváltan vártam. Szintén a 23. helyről indultam, s egy nagyon jó rajt után már a 12. hely környékén gokartoztam, amikor egy ütközés miatt a gokartom jobb hátuljának csapódott egy másik versenyző, kilökött a pályáról. A nagy erejű ütközés hatására gokartom tengelye és váza is elhajlott, a felnim több darabra tört. A balesetben megütöttem a bordámimat. A mentőorvos a helyszíni vizsgálat után kórházba küldött, ahonnan életkorom miatt egy gyermekkórházba irányítottak. Nem adtam fel, visszatértem a versenyhelyszínre, ahol gyorsan átköltöztem. Mikor a Parc Fermébe értem, versenytársaim már a felvezetőkörön gokartoztak. Az utolsó pillanatban fel tudtam venni a rajtpozíciómat, sajnos azonban a kanyarban lévő oldalirányú G-erőhatások miatt fájdalmaim erősödtek és kiállni kényszerültem a versenyből. WSK következő fordulójában tudom csak folytatni a versenyzést Lonatoban.
